After almost seventy years of being a paint manufacturer, Asian Paints had finally reinvented itself, making a bold, drastic shift into a complete home décor and design brand.
Moving away from the commoditized nature of its involvement with the consumer, the brand now wished to play a more active role in the customer's home redecoration journey, right from providing inspiration to enabling implementation.
As always, our work began with getting to know our customers. A typical customer wishing to redecorate his home goes through three main stages. First, he looks for inspiration – online, through magazines or through friends. Next - according to his needs and budget, he makes his selection from a range of colours, textures and products. The third stage is when he calls the painters home to actually make it happen.
Based on the three fundamental pillars of inspiration, decision-making and implementation - we built a journey that seamlessly integrated all in-store, online and out-of-store touch points. Through a combination of a vast gallery of shades and home décor images, online tools for virtual painting, expert help and calculators, Asian Paints empowered the customer at every step of the home decor process.
Through the website, Asian Paints successfully reinvented the way customers interacted with the brand, enabling it to become a more active partner in the customer's home decor journey.
