The client, one of USA's leading computer and audiovisual rental companies, has been providing its solutions to major corporations across the country for over a decade. However, they now wished to leverage their online channel to increase sales, and hence approached us to help them get more visitors on their website.
We decided to follow a holistic approach, beginning with a technical review and analysis of the website. Our strategy focused on three things - making improvements to pages indexed by search engines, increasing the relevance of pages according to keywords and creating static pages to cover the existing gaps for major keywords. After identifying instances that were not optimal from a Search perspective, we started implementing simple yet effective on-page strategies.
We identified a total of 173 keywords related to Rentfusion's industry and services, and, prioritized 20 crucial keywords specific to their business model. After mapping the relevant keywords, we chose suitable landing pages depending on the various products. To take advantage of brand-related searches, we created a number of brand-specific product pages.
Product pages that were initially developed as dynamic pages were made into static pages. By changing from POST Method to GET Method, we were able to increase the number of pages indexed, and improve visibility for dynamic pages.
In addition to creating a natural link plan around the selected keywords, we made strategic tweaks to the internal linking, enabling us to pass on link juice to key pages. To leverage local searches in the US, we made submissions to local search engines as well.
